Storage space is a growing concern today. An explosion of data has increased a company's storage requirements. There is a need to manage one's storage resources more efficiently. Storage can come in different kinds of form; from portable media to full fledge storage servers.
At Mithn Singapore, there are 3 types of storage solutions we offer.
1) Direct Access Storage (DAS)
It is a basic level storage in which a host computer holds the storage devices. All workstations which need to access the storage have to do it through the host computer. It's advantage includes low cost and ease of deployment
2) Network Access Storage (NAS)
It is a file level storage device that is connected to a computer network. Any workstation on the host will be able to access the storage over the network. A NAS device contain one or more harddisks and is normally arrange in arrays to provide for redundancy in case of a failure.
3) Storage Area Network (SAN)
A SAN is an architecture to attach remote computer devices to a server in such a way that the device appears to be on the local operating system of the server. A SAN allows for very huge storage space. It is very robust in its architecture. It is best implemented if your data is growing at a tremendous rate daily.
